Ace - American Council On Exercise

Hi, My name is Joe Alagno and I have earned an A.C.E. Personal Training certification. This was the first thing that I did right out of college with my undergrad in exercise science.

I would have to say that the A.C.E. is a pretty thorough exam that covers all the major areas. This in not the main reason why I think the A.C.E. is a great exam to take.

Besides giving a great cover of personal training material the people at ace offer many other benefits to trainers. I am constantly receiving emails regarding continuing education classes and seminars in my area and nation wide. Also A.C.E. uses sites like gym job to help trainers change jobs, and they have various ways of advertising to attract people to the A.C.E. site to view your A.C.E. trainer profile.

All in All there are many tests out there and some focus more on one area than another but the A.C.E. is a well rounded test that can sit up at the top with the rest of the great certification out there.

Hey thanks for the insight on ACE. I am a Personal Trainer who wants to get another cert. I want to take the exam but am a little nervous because I have been out of school for a few years. I got my bachelors in Exercise Science from UF as well but have not brushed up on any material (other than what I read online) since then. Is it a really hard exam? Got any hints for studying for it?

As I have mentioned the test is well rounded, that being said it would make sense to cover a wide basis of information. If I could offer some helpful advice I would definitely tell you to cover your anatomy, and a big portion of the test is training related as far as scenarios. If you have been training then you will have no problem with proper procedure of exercises. I hope that helps and good luck.
